Village Pub
Located in the quiet, leafy surroundings of Champlain Heights in South East Vancouver, the Village pub is a true neighborhood pub. The surroundings are comfortable, the atmosphere is friendly & fun.
We are very much part of the local social fabric...a place where friends meet, colleagues 'talk shop' and business people negotiate deals. A place where people gather to celebrate, play games or to seek quiet relaxation. Newly renovated and decorated, it's a perfect place to get away from the hustle of a hectic day.

Avalon Dairy
Jeremiah Crowley came out from Western Bay, Newfoundland in 1898 for the gold rush.
Arriving in Vancouver he found the gold rush over. He was so impressed with Vancouver that he returned to Newfoundland and brought his family with him to settle here in 1906. After purchasing a house on Wales Street, which came with 6 cows, he began to build up Avalon Dairy.
In the same year, he purchased acreage at 5805 Wales, which is the present location of the Dairy. The farm house was built in 1908 and is still in use.
Avalon is a family business. It is the oldest continuously operating Dairy in B.C.

A grand plan that’s coming to life
River District is bounded by the Fraser to the south and the rest of Vancouver to the north, so it needs to act like a city that’s not in the city. Over 25 acres of the 130-acre site is devoted to public space, part of a sustainable plan that has a long-term vision.
