James KM Cheng Architects
James Cheng is one of Canada’s leading architects and a major contributor to the development of Vancouver’s skyline. As master plan architect for the River District, Cheng has been responsible for the design of community at the rezoning stage.
PWL Partnership
Vancouver-based landscape architecture firm PWL have 30 years experience in designing public and private spaces that incorporate social and environmental benefits. As landscape architects for the River District community, they are responsible for the design of the parks and public realm.
Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company
Principal Andres Duany is an internationally recognized planner and designer. Based in Florida, Duany led a comprehensive community design charette for the River District in the development’s formative stage in 2005.
Hughes Condon Marler Architects
Hughes Condon Marler Architects (HCMA) is recognized internationally and nationally for its designs and focus on sustainability. As architects for River District Centre, HCMA has created a world-class building public building for the community.
Braun/Allison
Providing creative services for marketing in a number of industries, Braun/Allison has a focus in residential and resort real estate. Instrumental in developing the strategy and brand for River District, Braun/Allison also designed all exhibits for the Centre.
FVB Energy Inc
FVB Energy Inc. is a consulting engineering firm specializing in Community (District) Energy Systems for over 20 years in Canada and over 40 years in Sweden. FVB has assisted Parklane Homes in developing the district energy concept for the River District and is responsible for the design of the distribution piping that will deliver space heat and hot water to River District residents.
Stantec Consulting Ltd
Stantec Consulting Ltd. is a multi-disciplined engineering firm with operations globally. As electrical design consultants, Stantec was responsible for the site power distribution and street lighting design for the River District community.
InterCAD
InterCAD is a Vancouver-based consulting firm providing services in the area of civil, municipal and transportation engineering, with an emphasis on major urban land development. InterCAD has been responsible for the management of digital site mapping and design of roadways and underground services at the River District, including implementation of rain gardens, off street bicycle paths, and the Kerr Street plaza.
